Many thx. First a word about Amazon. At the end of January we'll be holding a workshop for Amazonians United in the Philly area using our Runaway Inequality curriculum. (These are the workers who are trying to organize a union within Amazon.) We're providing sizable stipends so that 25 workers can get off their horrendous job schedules to attend.

The reason we are pushing pre-orders through Amazon is that for every pre-order, they order 10 more copies, non-returnable, meaning they will be pushing to sell them. The money we earn through those sales and through Substack donations are going to programs like the one for Amazonians United. It's an interesting form of recycling and the Amazonian United workers are all for it.

As for joining Progression Democrats in America, I really can't do that right now. My task is to reach non-progressives in labor unions with progressive political economy. To do that well, I need to dwell outside of the Democratic Party. But thanks for the invite and the book order. Happy New Year

Well said. I agree with Shawn Fain. Billionaires should be outlawed. No one needs that much money.

Happy Holidays!

Les Leopold Will you join the Progressive Democrats of America to booster its labor activist members? I will not preorder your book thru union busting, monopolistic Amazon but will thru Bookshop.org or a local bookstore.

Well… does the planet need billionaires? Is it sustainable? Is it healthy for a person to have that much command over others by being able to use money to leverage so much? One more questions than answers.

I know that most extremes tend to not work so well. But with meritocracy, I think there can be a healthy balance, where achievers are compensated, but not so much so that the rest of the population have to live in destitute.

Because 1. We have the capacity to support all humans on this planet.

But only if we manage the finite resources well, and stop prioritizing profit above everything else in life.

If we don’t prioritize living, then what are we really doing?
