A number of people have been advocating an independent organization that would be parallel to the Democratic Party. It would compete directly in red districts where the Democratic brand was too tarnished to compete. It could also endorse Democratic candidates in swing districts. I'm envisioning something like the Rainbow Coalition. Perhaps someone needs to convene a meeting of like minds and actually form this organization.
Since being politically, economically, and morally right isn't getting us anywhere with the neolib Dem party elite, this is a great practical alternative. It also allows for alliances with de facto independents who by winning primaries have managed to take the D label. And they're not reluctant to wear the worker label as well.
We can and should ignore the mainstream corporate lite Ds. If the explicitly worker message proves to be a winner, they'll listen then. If they still refuse, we'll know for certain their donor class isn't about to let go and therefore we will.
I suggested yeas ago that possession of undocumented in the workplace be treated like possession of illegal drugs and the users (who employed them) be prosecuted under drug laws.
The Democratic Party already makes generalisations. What min wage? $20? $30? What exactly to do about the 10 million illegal workers Biden brought in? (no giving them papers to work won't cut it). Got a plan for universal health care not insurance? Medicare still allows huge gross profits, what's the plan to take the profit motive out? I don't mean to be critical, but the Democratic Party has been stringing us along for years. At least Trump closed the border. When can we get a wage with a cola that matches productivity?
